Its not that we are just being mean!
Pregnancy and breast feeding are a big NO for Microblading for a few different reasons .
Lets start with pregnancy.
During pregnancy your hormones and blood volume is at an increased level, by 20%. Pigments may not settle very well into the skin, as the " bloom" of pregnancy may not last very long.
The pigments used have tiny traces oh iron oxide and nickel in them . The mature adult kdneys can excrete this - usually bearly detecting their minute presence , however this is a different story to a tiny developing foetus. As there is no research done on this area, or very little , the insurance companies prefer to exclude cover as a precaution. It's not because they want to be mean- it's to uphold the developing babies heslth in utero.
As a former Private Practice midwife, the Obstetrician I worked for advised pregnant ladiesnot to dye their head hair until they were at least 24 weeks pregnant - prudent advice indeed,.
I have seen on other pages that they do Microblading but it looks nothing like your work ! Tell me more .
Yes indeed that is true.
This is makes me very very sad, I have seen those posts too.
I specialise in hairstroke Microblading with one of most unique hand tools , with needles so fine, it delivers the finest hair stroke imaginable . It slices into the skin so cleanly that the mimicked hair stroke is life like.
Hairstroke brows are not harsh, blocky or stark. They are natural looking , soft and enhance your facial features without being too obvious .
Here is an example of the style of work I do .
Below are photos that are described as Microblading in some salons .
Please do your research .
Enquirer and ask to see their before and after photos ( ALL practitioners will have them for insurance purposes).
the brow is not good.
Not good at all.
Yes I will, but it will depend on where it was done, the fading, and how much you paid for it.
Call me to discuss.
Faded off tattoo.
My insurance will not cover me owning to the increased risk of infection.
Insuln dependant diabetic s who are well controlled can go ahead with a Dictors letter.
Tablet controlled diabetics can go ahead with no clearance letter.
Diabetes is where there is excessive sugar in the blood system , as leads to poor healing in most diabetics .

Trish , the owner at Polished, Crossbarry, Co.cork- a host salon I visit once a month - took the plunge today and had Microblading done !
Here is her journey today in before and after photos .
Trish is a new mum to a 12 wk old baby boy, and has little time .
Hormonal changes like postnatal , menopause, thyroid disorders etc wreak havoc with our bodies, hair etc .
Over plucking/waxing etc has her brows thinning and a bit patchy .
Step one was done today in a classic shape.
More angles can happen at stage 2- but she loves it for now !
We used a conservative warm medium brown pigment on this occasion but it can be darkened at step 2 in a few weeks if it's her desire .
She looks only faaaab .
Don't you agree?
Of course I can.
Sometimes the whole brow does not need to be Microbladed, sometime it does.
Book in for a consult, and I will tell you.
If I fear you will have a seam that is obvious, I will advise the whole brow to be Microbladed.
The brow hair texture, colour and quality will be the deciding factor here .
