A detailed account about what to expect during the healing phase is emailed out to you .
It is important to note that most clients do not have the extreme scabbing , most have very minimal flaking and hardly notice the healing process at all . The scabs are very tiny indeed, and look like tiny flakes of dandruff when falling off.
Of course not every one heals to the extreme. Below are photos of a blonde lady, 3 wks, 6 wks and 9 wks after procedure with very minimal scabbing. It's a perfect example of how the pigment takes time to fully settle after the healing phase. This lady is not my model.
Knowing what to expect reduces frantic phone calls after 1-2 weeks whereby clients often ring up saying ' eeeek , my brows have disappeared, can you touch up?'.
The area usually lightly scabs over and gently exfoliates over the coming weeks. In week 2 and 3 , the area needs to heal
as any wound would do , and on week 4 the pigment is seen through the newly healed subcutaneous layer of skin . Absolutely no further micro pigmentation will be helpful before the 4 week touch up as it will interfere with the healing process.

As a nurse and midwife I see brow hair loss and head hair loss a lot.
Thyroid issues, chemotherapy, stress, depression, postnatal stress, alopecia and so on are all factors.
New motherhood , hormones returning to pre pregnant states, plus breast feeding and the busyness of sleep deprivation/adjustment can take its toll.
New mothers come a lot to have their brows Embroidered to fill in gaps - however I am unable to do a treatment if still breast feeding . This is not covered by my insurance.
I usually urge you to see your GP first to rule out any health anomalies , before you secure an apt with me .
Once you have lovely brows it frees up time to spend with your divine new bundle of joy!
Other health anomalies would be clients who have thyroid issues , leading to brow hair thinning . Microblading can be performed on clients with thyroid problems .

My business mentor has been encouraging me to go on a TV slot , do an interview or at least do a U Tube tutorial.
While I am thinking about it, I have posted a few photos of myself.
Yes, I am real! Middle aged, 52 to be exact . Greying head hair, but my brows are the same as they were in my 20s!
Yes, I still tint them , they are going grey too!, and my brow tails have become thinner over the years so I had them Embroidered (just the tails). At my age I need all the help I can get!
Ladies ( and some men) exclaim that having their brows done gives them the appearance of a non surgical facelift!! .... At a fraction of the cost ! Win win!
I am a Nurse/midwife, travelled the world and lived and worked in Australia, UK , Europe and USA before finally settling in West Cork.
I trained as a Nail Tech in 2000 , then Brow Artist a year later. I adore what I do, and enjoy the fact that each service I offer there is room for improvement every year- new techniques evolve all the time and I like to stay in tune! I get giddy with excitement each time something new happens .
Due to my nurse training, I attract a large clientele who have cancer, chemo , thyroid problems etc, as well as ladies who over plucked , or just a poor quality brow , and those who want to show case their already perfect brows in a semi permanent way. So as you can see, it is not just people who have cancer that I attract, I have also branched into the Beauty world! This happened quite by accident, as I get referrals from ladies who are 'post chemo' show casing their now lovely brows, that ladies who are brow compromised now come to get the same look! A beautiful accident for sure!
I now work from my own studio attached to my home on the BEAUTIFUL Inchydoney road, on the way to Inchydoney beach. Most clients make a day out of their trip to me, either a beach walk, lunch or afternoon tea in either Inchydoney hotel/spa , several eateries in West Cork or one of our several cafes in Clonakilty.
I am unique in that clients do not need to travel to Dublin for this service, no tolls/petrol/parking costs, free on site parking, complimentary beverage and an unhurried service . Being a registered nurse gives me the extra edge , particularly with clients who are ill.
As I work alone, I can not always answer my phone, so email contact is preferable . I can return any queries by phone , so leave a number for me to call back.
I look forward to working with you and your brows!

I use these photos from my FB page ( www.facebook.com/Olives.Browtique) to demonstrate how the brow looks right after the procedure and 7 months later.
One photo 1: The pigment settles under the skin into the strokes I made at Embroidery procedure time. The brow still needs to heal, peel and fade.
Photo two: The pigment has softened and is well healed and faded slightly, and has faded slightly .
They are pigment styled Micro pigmentation hair strokes and are flat, they are not hair transplants!
The benefit of not drawing on brows daily, checking after a rain shower, redrawing after swimming or sweating, ensuring your fringe covers them out weighs most all other things.
I open a new NEVER USED, once only DISPOSABLE blade in front of the client at each procedure. This blade ( not really s blade- it's a row of 15 needles, that looks like a blade in action). This is disposed of in a sharps box after each client for incineration.
Ideally I like to meet the client BEFORE her cancer chemotherapy treatment, and carry out the initial treatment. The second pass can be delayed until the treatment is complete. This way the client has an imprint of her EXACT brow and a whole new set of brows is not needed to be redesigned .
As a Registered nurse, I understand the importance of NOT carrying out ANY procedures during chemotherapy , due to impaired immunity during the chemotherapy process .
My posters are available at most Oncology units in Cork, plus Arc House on O Donovans Road, Cork City and The Girls Club in Paul Street. Cork .
A 30 min consultation can be arranged to discuss this process , it's only €50. This can be used against the treatment if upi oh ahead with one month.
Don't forget Tues and Sats are my only Embroidery days and a lead in period of up to one month is required
Yes, before I did this job, I used to think the above caption was a cop out when I got my brows done!!
Now I know!
Due to the way our facial muscles are positioned, it's not possible for brows to be the exact same ! That would make us look too plastic!! However, our job as an Artist is to make them look as closely alike as is possible .
Have a read below and see why !
Meanwhile, have a super day!
