Hollys Story and the Go Fund Me page .www.gofundme.com/f/HollysCancerDrugTrialCampaign
Holly Kennedy , my friend needs help.
She’s a new Mum of a little boy was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer ( very aggressive and fast growing breast cancer) in December 2016 at age 32. She found her lump whilst breast feeding. A mother’s WORST nightmare.
Happy Magazine ( her magazine ) is the resource she longed for when she was going through her own treatment - the tool to show her how you can still be happy, even during cancer. Holly created the magazine to distribute to anyone with cancer FOR FREE, and it was published every 3 months, with fabulous interviews from the likes of Brian Kennedy, Domini Kemp etc.
High profile people like Sile Seoige and Vicky Phelan both have pledged support in this campaign.
Holly had a relapse In summer 2019, with the cancer now in her liver, lungs and bones.
A pharmaceutical company called CYTODYN in USA may have a breakthrough treatment for triple neg cancer. It has been fast tracked for approval , Holly tested and has scored very well for a good response.
They have invited Holly to USA for the trial, and have paid for the initial flight and hotel for the first consultation.
Holly will be expected to travel back and forth to USA every 2 months thereafter for monitoring.
Travel may not be possible for too much longer depending on the cancer and how she is feeling , so she is trying to get her hospital involved in bringing the trial drug here to Irish patients.
Holly says a GO FUND ME would be a massive help with her ongoing treatment expenses and to help fund travel for this trial .
She is fighting to live as long as is possible for her husband Derek and her little boy.
Holly has produced Irelands FIRST Cancer Journal , a beautiful journal/plan for ALL oncology patients, or to give as a gift to anyone who has had a recent diagnosis here the link; www.happymagazine.ie/product/happy-magazine-cancer-journal
Your donations will help a new mother best attempts for her survival for her little boy.
Further to high profile people , Several other pages have supported this cause.
"West Wicklow Cancer Support have worked with Holly Kennedy creator of Happy Magazine, Irelands first online magazine for people with cancer which is published every 3 months free of charge.
At the age of 35 Holly is battling breast cancer for the second time. She has been invited to the USA to undergo trial treatment and will need to travel there every 2 months and incur all the costs associated with this. A gofundmepage has been set up to help Holly and her family with this expense. Any donations to this will help this young mothers attempt for survival for her family.
Holly is such a beautiful person and an inspiration for everyone and at West Wicklow Cancer Support we feel very lucky to have made such a connection.
Please donate and share if you can and keep Holly healthy and HAPPY!!
As you know , €18 wouldnt even get her the diesel to Dublin airport, and I cant do this alone. I need help....and lots of it.

What we need is HUGE, €250k and I cant do it alone, but collectively if you forfeited your coffee we can do....yip we can ......
Any donation, ANYTHING at all would help HUGELY - even just a €5.
For transparency we have directed all funds directly into Hollys account.
We have contacted The President, National Lottery, several high profile people to share.
If you can think of anyone we may have missed, please , we welcome input.

The permanent makeup industry is not one of the best-prepared industries for the safe re-opening and return to work. As it is an unregulated industry here in Ireland, however as a Registered Nurse I have had to be my own regulator.
Having been a nurse for 39 yrs, worked in hospitals for 29 yrs, theatres for 10 years, my knowledge of blood borne pathogens, sterility, cross contamination is exemplary , however Covid is new- therefore extra trainings were undertaken during lockdown to ensure we can protect you.
We already know and understand appropriate cleaning and disinfection practices to ensure our clients’ safety while performing procedures. With that in mind, we must continue to implement our regular cleaning protocols, along with introducing new procedures based on recommendations by our governments and regulatory bodies, to ensure the containment and eradication of COVID-19, and to keep ourselves and our clients safe.
To help, we have compiled a list of guidelines for the safe re-opening of permanent makeup studios as recommended by the World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, The Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals, the Alliance of Professional Tattooists, the Body Art Education Alliance, Perma Blend, and the Association of Professional Piercers.
During this pandemic, information continues to evolve very quickly on a daily basis. BrowtiqueCork will make every effort to ensure regular updates of this document as new and better information becomes available. If you have suggestions for improvements to this article, please email email@example.com.
As a reminder, it is important to follow local, state or provincial, and national guidelines normally, however as there is no blueprint for these in Ireland I have sought the advices of my Tattoo colleagues in UK and USA.
This means taking measures to keep yourself informed of what these rules, guidelines, and policies are and regularly researching updated information from reliable sources.
HSE have granted us permission to return to work Aug 10, here are some guidelines on how to do so safely.
Prior to Opening:
Once we to re-open August 10, we will consider a very limited schedule, in the beginning, to assess protocols and adjust as necessary.
Many are reconsidering face-to-face consultation appointments and are conducting them virtually and/or at the scheduled appointment time. Modification to client intake forms and information provided to clients should be expected.
Talking will be kept at a minimum and explained to the client that more particulates are expelled during conversation. There is also evidence that nasal breathing will produce less moisture than mouth breathing, and the nasal passage is the first line of defence. The SPCP Best Practices Committee has discussed that in the early return to work stages, professionals may wish to consider only brow tattooing to avoid other potentially infectious materials – (OPIM or all fluids under universal or standard precautions). Clients should wear masks, especially since they often sneeze during brow procedures.
Browtique Cork Registered Nurse has always strived to support the permanent makeup community. Now, more than ever, we will continue to update and inform you on best practices to keep you and your clients safe. We’re here for you. We got this!
